The February 24, 2024 Civilian Firearms/CCW Course is FULL.

Applicants that have already registered, upon successful completion of a background check, will be automatically waitlisted for the upcoming courses scheduled for April and May. If you have previously registered for the course, you do not need to register a second time.

SCHEDULE

The first Civilian Firearms/CCW Course will be held on February 24, 2024 from 8:00am to 12:00pm. The course will be held at the Indian River County Sheriff's Office Shooting Range. There are 15 slots available for the first course.

This course is offered on a first come, first serve basis. The sign-up cut-off date for the first course is February 20th, 2024 at 5:00pm..

A waitlist will be established for the course once the first 15 slots have been filled. Waitlist members will be notified when another class is available.

REQUIREMENTS

Background Check

All participants for the Indian River County Sheriff's Office Civilian Firearms/CCW course must complete and pass a background check before they are considered eligibile to attend the course. Once the participant passes a background check, they will be notified via email that they have been accepted for the course and they will be provided with the location of the course.

Additional Requirements

  • All participants must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • All participants must be a resident of Indian River County, Florida.
  • All participants must have no felony convictions.
  • All participants must successfully pass a background check performed by the Indian River County Sheriff's Office.

Firearms and ammunition will be provided for the course. Please do not bring your own firearms or ammunition.
